Stacy L. Crews is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and works closely with families to help them reach their most important financial goals. After her first daughter (second child) died in utero while eight months pregnant, she realized the need for all moms to be aware of the signs of potential problems in order to protect their unborn babies. She quickly realized the lack of information, education, and awareness in this field. Much like how she helps educate her clients about managing their wealth, she decided to help educate pregnant moms on how to be the best advocate for their unborn baby, and now serves on the board of Project Alive & Kicking (PAK).
In 1999, Stacy earned her BBA in Finance from Southwest Texas State University. Soon after graduating, she began working with Ameriprise Financial and still serves her clients through an independent platform of the company. Stacy received her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation from Rice University in 2008.
Her daughter Carly Elizabeth was born still on December 20th 2009 due to an extreme torsion of her umbilical cord. While searching high and low for answers, Stacy immediately became an active member of the online Stillbirth Support Group of Daily Strength. In 2010, she and 65 close friends and family members marched for the March for Babies where her team was able to raise over $10,000 for the March of Dimes. While serving on the Family Advisory Council Board for Star Legacy Foundation in 2011, she helped create their educational program See me, Feel Me. In addition, she currently sponsors the annual October 15th Balloon Release for bereaved parents and families in her local area via the Sweet Pea Project. With her involvement in the Stillbirth Community, recently attending two recent medical conferences, and her work with PAK, Stacy is intent on helping to share the newest research. Her ultimate hope is that moms gain the power and knowledge necessary to protect their own babies.
Stacy now balances being a Mom to three children and a financial advisor to her clients while she remains involved in numerous school and church organizations. Stacy resides in Texas with her husband Paul, her two living children, Cole and Caitlyn, their dog Roxy, and will always hold her dear Carly close in her heart.
